Step through the doors of Ashridge House's historic Victorian Glass House and into a little Christmas magic.
This festive season, Hanako invites you to join us for a series of intimate Christmas wreath-making workshops in one of Ashridge House's most enchanting spaces.
Built in 1864 and designed by celebrated Victorian architect Sir Matthew Digby Wyatt, the Grade II* listed Glass House—also known as The Fernery—was originally created as a home for beautiful and exotic ferns. More than 160 years later, beneath its sweeping glass and iron roof, it will become the setting for a very special Hanako Christmas.
Surrounded by the beauty and history of Ashridge House, we'll spend a few wonderful hours creating something beautiful for your home using an abundance of seasonal foliage, natural textures and festive details, guided by the Hanako team.
Come with friends, bring someone you love, or simply take a few hours for yourself.

Hanako Flowers – Workshop Terms & Conditions
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your workshop begins. Workshops start promptly and late arrivals cannot always be accommodated.
- The Glass House can feel cool in winter, so we recommend warm layers and comfortable shoes.
- All materials, tools and floral supplies are provided.
- Full payment is required at booking. Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed by email.
- Workshops require a minimum of five attendees. If Hanako Flowers cancels a session, guests will be offered a full refund or transfer to another available date.
- Cancellations made more than seven days before the workshop may receive a refund or transfer. Cancellations within seven days are non-refundable, but the booking may be transferred to another person if Hanako Flowers is notified at least 24 hours beforehand.
- Photography and video may be captured for promotional use. Please contact Hanako Flowers before the workshop if you prefer not to be photographed.
- Please advise Hanako Flowers in advance of any allergies or health conditions that may affect your participation.
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and must follow the health and safety guidance provided by the Hanako team and venue.

Our workshops take place at Ashridge House, a breathtaking venue that provides the perfect backdrop for a creative and inspiring session.
Each session typically lasts 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn, create, and enjoy the experience.
We provide all materials, including seasonal flowers, foliage, tools, and expert tuition. Plus, you’ll take home your beautiful floral creation! There’s also Prosecco or water available to sip while you design.
Just yourself and a little creativity! If you’d like, you can bring an apron, but we’ll provide everything else you need.
Yes! You’ll leave with a stunning floral creation to enjoy or gift to someone special.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes—you may be handling water and working with flowers at different heights.
